I have been trying, through this blog, to document my first year of marriage and that includes hosting our first Mother's Day as a married couple. Both of our mom's have very different personalities but thankfully our families get along very well....that's a complete blessing! We had a great day with our mothers and Danny's sister's family. We enjoyed lunch together, had a yummy chocolate cake, and shared lots of laughs :) here are some pics:

Also, after like 2 weeks of trying to do this 30-day "Encouraging Your Husband" Challenge I'm not-so-proud to say that I'm only on Day 4! But I'm still not giving up and the plan is that I won't move forward until I feel that progress is really being made on the days before. So look forward to Day 5 in tomorrow's post :)

How fun that you all could celebrate Mother's Day together! My family lives in Southern California and J's in Nebraska so we weren't able to celebrate with either of them this year--maybe some day :)
