Monday Madness and Target Tuesday!

Hi, Friends!
 I completely made the most of my only weekend off between taking summer classes! Danny was such an amazing help in getting my to-do list crossed off in a hurry, including my long-anticipated closet makeover :) And yes, pictures will be coming soon! We also had a very interesting grilling experience yesterday (the reason for the Monday Madness title) that is only hilarious because things worked out well! Here's the quickie version of the story:

Last night Danny was setting up the grill to cook his amazing chicken recipe when the ignitor was not creating a flame.  We were both starving so we came up with a brilliant idea.  We'll light a match and throw it in the grill while pressing the gas and it will create a nice flame. Great idea, right? Well....apparently it doesn't work that way.  We both stood right in front of the grill staring at it and the moment Danny puts the match to the gas there is a GIGANTIC burst of fire!!! We both dive away from the fire as if we are stars in an action movie, and I even lost my slipper while running!

Needless to say, it took us a couple minutes to recuperate from the fact that our faces and/or bodies could have been "well-done" if we hadn't hustled to get out of the way but when we looked back at the grill it had a nice steady flame and we were able to enjoy chicken together after all :)

Target Tuesday!

Today I'm linking up with Tara from fabulous but evil to share some of my favorite things from Target this week! Since I'm always on the hunt to find cute home decor stuff and it's such beautiful summer weather here, I found some great outdoor patio items that I think look adorable!  Here are some of the  things that caught my eye:

I think these paper lanterns would look gorgeous for outdoor evening get-togethers

I could totally see myself relaxing with a great book and enjoying the sun on this chaise lounge chair

With beach season here already it's a  MUST to have a cute swimsuit and I love the color of this one-piece!
