"It's OK"! Really, it is! Job Update!

I'm actually more than OK this Thursday! I just got the BEST surprise ever! So this will be a job edition of "It's OK Thursday" :)

Its Ok Thursdays

IT'S OK....

...that I almost peed my pants when I got called into the Boss's office 20 minutes ago

...to smile and act calm as you walk toward The Office while your fellow employees stare you down with looks that say, "what did you do now, you big buffoon?!"

...to be so completely shocked to hear good news unexpectedly that it takes your face another 5 minutes to get the memo that it should be smiling!

....to be excited about a job DE-motion!

....to not have to work 40 hours, or even 32 a week....20 sounds perrrfect to me!

...to finally receive the miracle you have been praying about for months but not know what to do now that it has actually happened.

... to be so happy that you walk around the rest of the day looking like an idiot with a huge grin on your face and NOT EVEN CARE what those around you think! (Yes, that is a description of me at the moment!)

So you wanna know what's goin' on and why I have such a strange list of "It's OK"'s?
I just got my prayers answered this morning! Big time! Remember this post I wrote a couple of days ago where I was wondering which door to choose regarding my future career plans? Well it turns out all I had to do was seek God and He did all the rest for me! I really wanted to choose Door #2, the one where I work half days so I will have enough time to start on my business plans. Well.....God truly gave me the desires of my heart and did so in a way where no one was hurt and everyone felt peace.

Last week I told the boss's assistant that I would like to make some changes to my schedule and never heard a word back. Well I had planned on reminding her later today so we could discuss some changes but I never had a chance to say that because I was already called into the office this morning. Apparently, the woman who I replaced (when I was promoted about 6 months ago) is able to come back so they asked me how I felt and were nervous that I would be upset! I was overjoyed! Here I was for the last 6 months living in regret for taking the new position because it was far too much responsibility and it would take forever to train someone knew so I thought I was stuck forever.

It's amazing how limited my thinking was. Didn't I realize how BIG God is? Well, my faith has grown tremendously through this experience and I am now free to work half days in the mornings at my old position (much easier!) and will have the rest of the day to work on the major plans in my future.

Romans 8:28 - "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

love always,

This is SO exciting. I'm so happy for you. God's answers to our prayers are sometimes odd to others but make perfect sense to us.

I'm so glad to have you as a new friend!
