I Can't Afford to be Conceited!

Have you ever had a day when just a couple things happen to go your way or you get complimented, and suddenly out of nowhere you can actually feel your head starting to expand? Yea, I definitely had that moment this morning! Keyword is "moment" because I have learned long ago that you must kill that ego as quickly as it sprouts up or you will be treading in some dangerously prideful ground! You know what always brings me back down to earth? Realizing that if it weren't for the grace of God I could seriously be squashed like a bug at this very moment. Humbling, dontcha think?

But here are some exciting (but not conceited, ha!) things that I am thrilled about!

1. I got chosen for the next VoxBox!
received this in my email this morning! Woo Hoo!

I have been wanting to do one of these forever! Well, it's actually been only a month since I applied after hearing about it from my friend Crystal :) VoxBox is a box of full size samples sent to you for FREE as long as you promise to write an honest review of them! May can't get here soon enough!

2. I'm guest posting about my wedding on Wednesday at Candice's blog and that led me to take a look at my wedding photos again...such sweet memories :) If I could do it all over again, I definitely would. And of course I would definitely make a couple changes too!
you will see pics of all the wedding details on Wednesday :)

3. Hubby and I have decided to have a weekend of "us" time. May I add, MUCH NEEDED "us time"! For many this might be a commonality but for us this is truly a blessing. Especially since, as I mentioned yesterday, this time of year is filled with outings every.single.weekend!

4.I just got accepted for another Blogher Book Club read and start that in May as well. I love their book choices and the fact that I get $$ to read a book I will enjoy even feels a little wrong. But not wrong enough that I don't accept the money, ha!

Happy Friday to you (even if it is the 13th!)

love always,

"Us" time is so crucial in a marriage. Hubby & I sure don't get enough of it. With 2 kids & 1 on the way it's hard to line up any time for us. Sitters are hard to come by.

P.S. I'm sure you've heard this before..but I just can't get over how much you look like Sara Ramirez (Callie from Grey's Anatomy)! Which is a very good thing, of course :) Happy Monday!
