I desperately need to go on more vacations.
I'm sure it's not normal to get this excited about one little vacation, but I am. It's not even out of the country for goodness' sake!
But as you can {hopefully} tell from my completely ambiguous title....there are LESS THAN 24 HOURS LEFT!!!Woot!

So by now I'm sure you can guess what my "It's OK"s are for this week ;)

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK....
  • to plan a trip to visit family months ahead of time but forget to call said family and let them know you are coming until TWO days before the trip! {that was me yesterday}
  • to take breaks between packing so I can sing off-key and do equally embarrassing dance moves to songs on the radio with the hubby {and people wonder why it takes us so long to get stuff done}
  • NOT OK to find a huge dead roach outside my front door this morning! Remember my perhaps-irrational fear that bugs will do a home invasion while I'm away? No bueno :/
  • To get your house sprayed for bugs two times in one month because of said roach incident {getting to the front door is as far as those suckers will get!}
  • to look forward to the naps on the plane, the hum of the plane is perfect for napping!
  • to pray there are no small children on board. I love kids but they are pros at making a 7-hour flight feel like 20.
  • to be thrilled that the forecast in Portland when I arrive is only a high of 61 degrees. I would take that over the 90+ degree Florida heat any day!
  • to feel blessed for having such great blog friends who will be guest posting while I'm gone. Thanks again, girls! Wanna know who they are? I'm not telling! You have to come see for yourself :)
  • to go on Pinterest for packing tips, snack ideas for the plane, outfit choices and just about everything else trip-related. How did I ever get through life pre-pinterest?
  • to already be looking forward to the "after vacation outlook". You know, when you come back from a trip and have a completely different perspective on your life and the things that matter most and finally get the courage to make some major (and much-needed) changes...I love that!
Hope you all have an amazing day!

love always,

I am so glad you found me!!! I felt like I was reading a post that I would write while I read yours! Taking breaks to sing and dance are all I do most of my day, espeically while packing! And so cool you are heading out this way! You will LOVE it! I am going to Florida in 10 days!!! So funny we are vacationing where the other lives!

you'll have a great time!!!
Hope everything goes as planned, and if there is a small child like mine on the plane you'd be ok. :)
(he didn't make a peep for 3 1/2 hours... )
