Black Friday: to go or not to go?

That is the question of the week around the Reyes residence! At first I was completely thrilled with the idea of getting great deals and running on adrenaline, which may result in losing a couple pounds. But then I actually thought about it...the whole idea is pretty crazy! People rush to get to a store, which is closed, sit out in the freezing weather for hours in the middle of the night and then hundreds of people try to squeeze through two small doors all at the same time. It's also sad how uncaring people have become in regards to the welfare of others. During a season of thankfulness and giving, there are so many out there who have become cold-hearted and completely determined to get what they want that they don't care who they have to run over (literally!) in order to get it. Here are some incidents that occurred in last year's Black Friday that I thought were insane!
This one is at Wal-Mart:

Here's one from Target (this store happens to be close to home!):

So are you all still excited about the Black Friday sales?
I'm kind of embarrassed to admit this, but I will be heading to Target at about 9pm on Thanksgiving since their doors open at 12am {ridiculous}!
However, I can promise you all that I won't be running over people's feet with my shopping cart, snatching items out of carts or other people's hands, and I most definitely won't be seen on a youtube video of "black friday gone wrong!" Wish me luck, only three more days to go!

love always,

Is this your first time shopping on Black Friday? I have gone for many years-used to go with my Mom and now I go with my MIL. We have a hotel booked and everything...the outlet mall we are going to opens at 10pm! :) I cannot wait!

I haven't decided yet if I will be going out! Stores keep opening earlier and earlier. I even saw ad's for Thanksgiving evening sales! Good luck friend!

I found out like 3 weeks ago, this store online is having a huge sale starting at 5am. So I'll just do that: be up til 5am or get up at 5am to buy what I want. Stores are really far away for me to get up to drive there! :)

I've never been shopping on Black Friday! This is the first year I actually wanted to go, and I had to work all day! What a bummer! Did you get anything good?
