I'm still here!

Happy Thursday!

With school starting last week I have been a busy, distracted, always-in-a-rush mess! But all is well now and I just wanted you all to know that I haven't given up on blogging, not even close! I couldn't be more excited about this semester even though I'm pulling a course-load of four classes and working full-time. I'm just thrilled that after this I will be a USF Alumni!

Dishing out some info...and an award!

So now for part 2 of the rules to receive the award, here's a few fun little things about moi! 

1. I am the proud semi-owner of two of the world's sweetest dachshunds, Priya and Max. I may not talk about them much since I left them with my mom after getting married, but they are still the pups who are closest to my heart!

2. I'm a sucker for scrapbooking and all other somewhat-easy-to-do crafts....and I've even convinced Danny to join my bandwagon and we are creating things together :)

3. For my wedding we  made all of our own bouquets, centerpieces, table cards, place settings, invitations and other floral decorations because I enjoy being hands-on and felt that I would cherish those items so much more knowing that I took part in creating them for my special day.

4. I am SOOO into Bollywood movies!  If you tell me Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, Aishwarya Rai, Sharukh Khan or Rani Mukherjee is in a movie, you know I will be watching it very soon!

5. I have such a passion for travelling. So far I have been to Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, England, China, Japan, South Korea, Tibet, Hong Kong and India but there are tons more countries that I would love to visit!

6. Though I really do love and enjoy the job I have, my real dream is for Daniel and I to have our own business one day. I have no idea what that business may be, but I'm excited about what's to come!

7.  I met my husband Daniel at church during one of the hardest times in both of our lives and God turned it into one of the best times! You can check out the "Our Love Story" tab for more about us :)

I. AM. SO. BAD!

Dear blog friends:

  I am so sorry for being such a horrible blogger! I have been so busy in my "real life" that my blog life is totally suffering.  And I'm not-so-sorry to say that I would rather have it that way than the reverse ;)

 So how is life, you ask? Well it's just plain amazing! In the last couple weeks I have made milestones, though they were very small, in my life! Here are some of the "accomplishments" that took place:

1. I am terrified of public speaking, which makes no sense since I'm majoring in communication, but somehow managed to give a 3 hour presentation! I may or may not have presented it with three other people but it's still a big achievement, okay?!

2. I am getting so much better at sewing! It took a lot of practice but I think I can finally say I am somewhat a seamstress! FYI: my definition of a great seamstress is someone who can reattach a button that is hanging off a sweater or mend a very tiny tear. Anything beyond that is just plain phenomenal :)

3. I went to my first reunion for Danny’s family and it was very interesting, to say the least!

4. Danny and I sang our first duet together! It was a complete train wreck and was more hilarious than anything else but at least we can say that we did it. We also did the "jump on it" dance at the end. Yes, it was embarrassing and no, I'm not proud of it! Lesson learned....karaoke is NOT for us!

We really did have a great couple of weeks and it feels so good to be back on here blogging about the ups, downs and in-betweens of married life!

I was held captive!

Hi, Friends!

I have been MIA for the last week but I'm baaack!!!
So of course you want to know where I have been and how in the world I could possibly neglect my dear blog (and bloggy friends!) for so long. Well it's a looong and very sad story.....but the short version is that I was held captive by the mounds of schoolwork that were quickly overtaking me and the only way I could free myself was by using all my brainpower to write papers that my professors would find interesting.  I know that is a seemingly impossible task but I managed to come out alive with only a few cuts and scratches :)

Okay, okay I'll stop with the sarcasm but I just can't wait to graduate and school is becoming a very tedious task!

 On to brighter and happier things...I'm linking up with Jesslyn Amber for the first time to take part in her Thursday link-up.

The Simple Things I appreciated this week are:

 ♥ Living close to beautiful beaches where I can get away for a day ♥

♥ Knowing  all my hard work this week is well-worth the degree that comes at the end ♥

♥ Having FREEDOM♥

♥ It rained every day of the week except when it mattered the most, on 4th of July ♥

♥ Not having to worry about getting a tan, since I was born tan ;) ♥

♥ Window-shopping for what will hopefully soon reside in the closet ♥

♥ Being married to such a loving, sweet, generous man ♥

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Hi, Friends!

I am linking up with Jamie from This Kind of Love for WILW. I'm thankful for sooo many things this Wednesday!

I'm loving that tonight is my last class of Summer A! Never mind the fact that Summer B starts on Tuesday, I'm just glad for a weekend that's free from studying and stressing!

I'm loving that I live so close to so many beautiful beaches.  I will definitely be taking advantage of that this weekend!

I'm loving that my BFF Isabel from The Game of Life is graduating on Friday. Congrats, girl!

I'm loving the BIG, BIG Sale that is happening at New York and Company this week.  They have great stuff for wearing to work. You all should definitely check it out!

As always, I'm loving my wonderful husband, Daniel.
